Our Process
Review Documents
We will begin by reviewing your Title 24 Nonresidential Certificates of Compliance (NRCC) forms and construction documents to get a thorough understanding of your project.
Written Estimate
After reviewing your project specs, we will provide you with a written proposal and accurate, upfront quote for the scope of work involved. Our rates are competitively priced and will be sent via email.
On-Site Inspection
One of our technicians will visit your property for an on-site Title 24 lighting inspection. It is highly recommended that you have a business representative on-site during the inspection, which typically takes 2-3 hours depending on the size of your project.
Title 24 Testing
From occupancy testing and shut-off lighting control acceptance testing to institutional tuning outdoor lighting, we will complete all state-required tests that are relevant to your building, ensuring that indoor and outdoor lighting control systems are installed and functioning properly.
Confirm Compliance
We will identify any issues with installation that would prevent you from passing Title 24. As a licensed electrical contractor, we are qualified to fix most lighting controls on the same day as your scheduled inspection, saving you both the time and cost associated with retesting.
Certification
When your property passes the commercial lighting inspection and testing, we will issue a Title 24 Certificate of Acceptance. We typically provide the certificate within 24 hours of your on-site inspection when corrections and/or retesting are not required.
Title 24 Lighting Inspection & Acceptance Testing
For all new construction, new installation, and renovation/retrofit projects, the California Energy Commission requires that commercial and industrial buildings meet their Building Energy Efficiency Standards (Title 24, Parts 6 and 11) to reduce excess energy consumption. During an on-site Title 24 inspection, one of our Acceptance Test Technicians (ATT) will evaluate your building’s lighting control systems. In addition to helping you achieve Title 24 compliance, our goal is to improve the functionality, reliability, and efficiency of your lighting to reduce energy costs.
Following an inspection, we will perform state-required Title 24 tests necessary for your project, which may include some or all of the following:

- Automatic Daylighting Control Acceptance (NRCA-LTI-03-A)
- Demand Responsive Lighting Control Acceptance (NRCA-LTI-04-A)

- Outdoor Lighting Acceptance Tests (NRCA-LTO-02-A)
Title 24 Lighting Certification
After passing Title 24 testing, we will provide you with a Certificate of Acceptance to submit for proof of compliance.
