We’ll start by reviewing your Nonresidential Certificates of Compliance (NRCC) forms and construction plans in order to determine the number of acceptance tests your lighting project requires. Then we will schedule an on-site inspection, during which one of our Lighting Acceptance Test Technicians (ATT) will compare all documentation to the actual installation. At this time, we will check for any modifications that need to be made and can often make such corrections ourselves—saving you the cost and hassle of calling out your contractor and scheduling retesting at a later date. Once all modifications have been completed, we will perform functional testing to document that lighting control systems are operational and in compliance with California’s Title 24 lighting requirements.
Within as little as one business day of your on-site inspection and testing, we will provide you with a Title 24 Certificate of Acceptance in preparation for the Building Inspector and final inspection.
*Occasionally, a building will require more extensive modifications than can be completed during our on-site inspection. When this occurs, we will email you our recommendations and can assist electricians, lighting designers, and/or engineers in making the required corrections.
